Ronald “The Jett” Hart is the next level artist. Real rap does exist, check the swag it's on display

The Jett

I'm the next level artist out of Dallas, Tx. with good songs and The stereotype is that Dallas, Texas is the home of the ringtone rappers and dance song jigging, but don't believe the hype. Take a step within the city limits and you will discover that it's deeper than "Dallas Boogie". Real rap does exist and swag is on display like the skyline.

Native son of Dallas, Texas, 25 year old, Ronald "The Jett" Hart was born and raised in the Oak Cliff sector. The Highland Hills neighborhood he grew up in played a major role in his upbringing. His mothers' youngest of four, and considered an accident, Jett became a real life "product of his environment", as he ran with and looked up to the older guys in the hood. It wasn't until October 2000 while attending Skyline High School that he even considered rapping, when he would participate in freestyle battles outside of the school cafeteria, and started taking it serious. "I could just freestyle real good, no pen, no paper, just a mind that moved fast. Everyone would just wait on me to get to school so I could rap… My punchlines were crazy." says Jett. Rap dreams were put on hold as he went on a four year hiatus to the military, but instead of giving up on them, he grew lyrically being on a different coast and hearing different styles of rap. A student of the emo rap genre, he creatively puts his real life experiences into punchlines and metaphors, broadening the horizons of the Texas rap scene.

In a time where new rappers are more like swagger jackers, The Jett has found and created his own lane. "The Feng Shui Movement" is one of a cool laid back guy with stylistic ways. "I'm branding myself", says Jett. "Everything I do and say will stick to people." From his own website, www.thejettshow.com (under construction), to multiple aliases including, Two T's and The Jett Show, he has really made a niche for himself. "Doing multiple shows, stage presence, continuously dropping new songs, selling merchandise, etc. is what its about", Jett says. "You have to stay relevant!" It has been a 10 year growth process and with his solo debut "The Jett Show" prepared and ready the Dallas rap scene is about "take flight"!!!!! Two T's!!! Leegggoooo!!!!!

Erykah Badu 'Window Seat' the courage of Artistry.

Erykah Badu revealed the guerilla-style video for her new single, "Window Seat" this weekend and the response is burning up the Web. While the singer explains that her full-frontal nudity in the video is part of her artistic statement on the phenomenon of "groupthink," many are asking why she had to strip down in front of unsuspecting parents and children on a busy day in the middle of Dallas to get that point across.Erykah Badu revealed the guerilla-style video for her new single, "Window Seat" this weekend and the response is burning up the Web. near her head.

Nudity isn't the only concern being voiced over the video. The City of Dallas is upset that Erykah didn't bother getting a permit to shoot the video, and Dallas locals are upset that she would disrespect the place where Kennedy was shot. The assassination is still a sore spot for many Dallas residents who try to both preserve the historic location while keeping it from being exploited in popular culture.

For her part, Erykah said on Twitter that she hopes she didn't "traumatize" any children watching while the video was being shot, but she's pleased with the result.

Santonio Holmes get hit with assault charge as Steelers' legal woes continue

Santonio Holmes celebrates
ORLANDO, Fla. — A Florida woman is suing Pittsburgh Steeler Santonio Holmes, saying he attacked her in an Orlando nightclub.
Anshonoe Mills claims in the lawsuit that Holmes grabbed her face and threw a drink at her face when he objected to her sitting on a couch in the Rain Night Club's VIP section on March 7. Mills says the glass cut her near the eye.
The lawsuit also claims Holmes and a police officer intimidated Mills so she wouldn't press charges.
Orlando Police Sgt. Barbara Jones hadn't seen the lawsuit and couldn't comment.
Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett said team officials were gathering information and had no immediate comment.
Holmes' teammate, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, was accused earlier this month of assaulting a Georgia college student. He has not been charged.

Health-Care Bill Will Cost AT&T $1 Billion, May Lead to Cut in Retiree Drug Coverage: Who's to Blame?

obama health care
The news: several companies, including 3M, John Deere, and Caterpillar, have already announced that due to the health-care plan recently (and with incredible tumult) signed into law, they'll see raised expenses this year, which could be tough in this economic environment. But all of those companies' added expenses combined don't add up to half of AT&T's proposed problem, announced on Friday and reported by The New York Times: the telecommunications giant says they'll see a whopping $1 billion "noncash accounting charge" this year. In other words, AT&T will have $1 billion less in 2010 than in 2009, explicitly because of this bill--and such a big change in the books may mean AT&T will pass on the loss to its employees, possibly resulting in a loss of health-care benefits for retirees.  Full Story

ObamaCare will not protect children with pre-existing health conditions from being denied health coverage -- not until 2014. This despite endless talking points and promises to the contrary, the Associated Press reports:
Under the new law, insurance companies still would be able to refuse new coverage to children because of a pre-existing medical problem, said Karen Lightfoot, spokeswoman for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, one of the main congressional panels that wrote the bill Obama signed into law Tuesday...

Tech N9ne Says He Found Success On The Road

Tech N9ne

Tech N9ne certainly isn't a household name. He isn't necessarily a big name in the realm of hip-hop either, but thanks to appearing at festivals like Rock the Bells and touring on his own, he's been able to sell over a million records and build a solid, dedicated fanbase. As he prepares to drop his newest album, The Ollie Gates Mixed Plate, named after a restaurant in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri, he told Mixtape Daily about the unconventional road he took to get here.

"Being involved in all of those major labels in the past, nobody knew really how to do me, how to put me," Tech said. "But who knows how to do me better than anybody: me."

The Truth About Healthcare in America, the Truth the Mainstream Media won't tell You.

Paul A. Drockton
March 23, 2010

The history of healthcare in America is a sordid one at best, and scandalous at least. Consider the following:

1. The Social Safety Net did not exist for the most part prior to the last Great Depression. It wasn't necessary because the family, Church and community took care of their own. Three generations often resided under one roof and homeopathic medicine was the primary treatment for most maladies. Prior to 1929, half of Americans lived on the farm and half in the cities. People took care of their own.

Obamacare: Taxing The American People Into Oblivion 230310featureH.R. 3590, The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, to give it its full title, is rammed full of tax increases which will further economically cripple Americans already laboring under the worst financial crisis since the great depression.

The partnering Reconciliation Act, currently in the Senate, also contains a raft of pork barrel and tax hikes, there to fund the trillion dollar cost of nationalizing medicine.

Rappers to Appear at Rice University Hip-Hop Forum

HOUSTON - Though most music historians credit the release of the song "Rapper's Delight" in 1979 as the birth of hip-hop culture in the U.S., several notable rap performers will discuss the culture's 25-year impact on the Houston area at, of all events, a university forum.

Scarface and Willie D., of Houston-based rap group Geto Boys, and Bun B, surviving member of rap duo U.G.K., are among the rappers scheduled to appear at Rice University on Tuesday, March 23 for a two-hour symposium, sponsored by the Houston Enriches Rice Education.

In Webster's Dictionary, the definitive term for "recognition" is the state of being recognized.   J'rod and Rico are R&B sesations that possess a certain relateability and level of musical talent that makes recognizing them inevitable. The soon to be super group Recognition, comprised of Jerrod "J'rod" Rankin and Rico "Sivad" Davis, grew up a mere 44.8 miles away from the capital city of  Jackson, Mississippi.   The duo seemed to possess a notable level of talent and charisma that made them the center of attention.  As a result, J'rod and Rico began crafting their own material with the hopes of sharing it with the masses.
