Marcus Romone Cooper, known to most as Pleasure P of the R&B group Pretty Ricky, was apparently the defendant in a child molestation case that took place in early 2006. This claim, while still being substantiated, is according to a patchwork series of Twitter posts, photos of court documents and admission from trial witnesses. The story originally came to light in a series of tweets from the daughter of Cooper's lawyer. She claims to have documented proof that Cooper molested several children while he was a member of Pretty Ricky, but has yet to release anything of substance.

"My Dad was being paid to cover it up, but they owe my Dad a lot of money and now they don't want to pay him," she said on Twitter. "I first overheard my Dad say that it was someone famous, but I found out who he was talking about. This guy Pleasure P got kicked out of a group because he was hiding that he was a child molester... His managers or whatever hired my Dad to keep it quiet so he could get a record deal. The guy Pleasure P molested a 4 yr old [sic] child and was about to molest another one when the police came and saved the child... Now, the truth is out. They're threatening my family and telling my Dad he's going to get sued."

Pretty Ricky has responded with a very carefully worded message making clear that Cooper was fired from the group and did not leave of his own free will.

"Unfortunately due to Pleasure P's lawyer filing an injunction against us from speaking, we are not at liberty to speak about the case," said the group on its website. "However we will let it be known that we did kick him out of the group, he did not leave on his own free will."

Meanwhile, the CEO of Bluestar Entertainment (Pretty Ricky's management and label) has leaked photographs of the "Notice of Hearing" papers from the trial that provide another shocking layer to the story: the subject of molestation was actually Cooper's own nephew. In response, Spectacular, his former band mate, took to Twitter with the claim that all documents from the case were supposed to remain sealed.
