Listen to Hip Hop Music - The Best Places

So you want to listen to hip hop music?  Whether it's underground artists such as atmosphere, hard-core rap, old school hip hop or the hottest new artists come here some of the best places where you can listen to hip hop music...

Radio Stations

Hot97. This radio station is perhaps the most widely listened to of any hip-hop station in the United States today, and is undoubtedly the source for mainstream rap artists like Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and 50 Cent.

Power 105. The station was originally a provider of soft rock, but underwent a serious overhaul to provide some of the hottest mainstream rappers and are the artists out there today.

Power106. The authority in rap music today Power 106 plays at established artists such as Eminem, and Nas, as well as up and coming rap superstars like Drake, Flo Rida and T.I..

IMEEM.  This radio station gives listeners a chance to create their own playlists in a matter of minutes, and features an incredibly large selection of top hip-hop artists, old school grades, and even a respectable amount of underground rap artists.

Pandora. Is definitely one of my favorites on this list. With Pandora, you simply enter the name of an artist or musical style you like, and it automatically creates a playlist of related artists and musical styles that it thinks you would enjoy.  As each song is played you have the option of voting at up or down, and Pandora adjusts accordingly. This is a great way for you to discover fresh new hip-hop music and rap artist that you may not have heard before. I'm continually amazed at the number of new artists I come by thanks to Pandora. If you want to listen to hip hop music in a new way, this is certainly the place to be.

MixTapes

DatPiff. Offers a huge selection of mix tapes from the top artists in again today.  In addition, they have a wide selection of freestyles and music videos as well.  You can search by artist or DJ.

ThatCrack. This may be the best new provider of hip-hop mix tapes on the Internet today.  It offers streaming music, which means you don't have to download the songs.

If you want to listen to hip hop music, these are without a doubt the best resources available today.  From underground sensations to the most successful mainstream artists, they've got you covered.
