Thanks to hit singles like "Amazing," "Best I Ever Had" and "Day N Nite," (rappers) Kanye West, Drake and Kid Cudi are nominated for 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.
Revealed as nominees during a special nomination ceremony hosted by Hip Hop veteran LL Cool J Wednesday, December 2, West, Drake and Kid Cudi join Eminem, T.I., Jay-Z, Mos Def, and Flo Rida.
Leading the pack, Kanye West earned a strong six nominations for his work on "808s & Heartbreak" and collaborative efforts with Keri Hilson (Best Rap/Sun Collaboration), Beyonce (Best Rap/Sung Collaboration) and Jay-Z ("Run This Town").
Following Kanye West, Jay-Z picked up five Grammy nods including Best Rap Solo Performance ("D.O.A.") and Best Rap Song ("D.O.A.") but was shut out of the Best Rap Album category due to "The Blueprint 3" being released after the August 31 nomination deadline.
While Drake and Kid Cudi, two of the year's most recognized artists, failed to garner a Best New Artist nod like Keri Hilson, each received at least two nominations.
