Kanye West is working on a new album, describing himself as a "true poet".



The hip-hop star revealed on his blog he is back in the studio working on a fifth album and hinted he will be moving even further away from rap.



Kanye wrote on Kanyeuniversecity.com: "I'm so happy to be back in the studio making new music - I will bring you the best I have to offer - it's funny how so many rappers get worse as their careers stretch out, but true poets get better.
